The pieces stand on a wide, robust circular base with a stepped profile. The base is finished with a fluted frieze that perfectly unifies the entire design.

This magnificent pair was crafted between 1957 and 1977. It was made by the Porto silversmith, Carlos Lopes de Sousa. The pieces bear the 0.833 silver guarantee mark (Eagle). This mark was applied by the Lisbon Assay Office. They also feature the respective maker's mark. Together, these marks certify the authenticity and purity of the precious metal.
