Hollow hoop earrings, handcrafted in polished 19.2ct gold of considerable size, featuring a horseshoe-shaped hook. Commonly known as “carniceiras”, they were widely worn by the wives of cattle breeders in the Cávado Valley, as well as by women from Póvoa de Varzim between the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. These pieces of jewelry have endured to this day, being especially valued and sought after for their geometric lines.
